The Artists Circle announces plans for its 30th Annual Art Show and Sale from April 17 to April 19, in Schlack Hall at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 203 N. Valley Forge Road, Devon, PA.

Hundreds of framed original works by member artists will be on display; unframed originals and signed prints will also be available. The show opens at 1 p.m. on Friday afternoon, April 17, with a meet-the-artist reception being held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday’s hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday the show will open at noon and close at 4 p.m. Appropriate for all age groups, both admittance and parking is free.

Visitors will have an opportunity this year to win a prized painting by award-winning member artist, Wendy Scheirer of West Chester. Wendy has selected September Beach, an exquisite watercolor painting which reminds us of that special feeling when first approaching the beach on a bright, sunny day. Wendy received her BFA in Graphic Design from Arcadia University. Her twenty-five years of teaching experience includes West Chester University and Immaculata University as well as numerous local art centers, including CCAA, Wayne, CAC, DFAC, and workshops along the Mid-Atlantic coast from Martha’s Vineyard to Winston-Salem, NC. Wendy is a signature member of PWS, PWCS, and BWS and has won many prizes in local and regional shows.

Additionally, live demonstrations will again be featured, beginning Saturday morning at 11 a.m. with Judy Antonelli of West Chester demonstrating how to paint with pastel, using a watercolor underpainting. On Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Wendy Scheirer of West Chester will show her approach to watercolor. Lisa Prinzo of Honey Brook will discuss and demonstrate further dimensions and techniques in oil. All are welcome to observe the demonstrations; questions to the artists are encouraged. All works produced during the demonstrations will be available for purchase. Member artists are available to speak to attendees about their style, their approach to painting, and their medium of choice, be it oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, collage, or other.
