The Twin Valley High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble recently concluded their competitive season at the Mid-Atlantic Percussion Society Championships held at Coatesville High School. The ensemble achieved the score of 80.0 at championships.

The percussion ensemble has been rehearsing two nights a week since December at Twin Valley High School. As with most shows, this show portrayed a story that the group had to communicate entirely through music and visuals, with no spoken word. This year’s story involved a young drum corps member who died, and then had his soul taken to the underworld to join his fellow deceased members destined to rehearse and perform forever more.

Twin Valley traveled to Perkiomen Valley HS, Downingtown High School, and Coatesville High School to compete within the Mid-Atlantic Percussion Society circuit. The group will perform one more time later this Spring at the Pops Concert on May 20 at 7 p.m. Joining them on this concert will be the Taiko Percussion Ensemble, The Select Choir, The Jazz Band, and the Orchestra. Admission is free.
