Submitted Kutztown High School sophomore Jamal Damien Kemp, 15, was first trumpet at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All State Jazz Band on March 27 in Hershey. During the concert, Kemp performed an improv solo to “Moanin'” by Charles Mingus.
