Clay on Main members and volunteers are transporting the studio to several outdoor venues throughout the county. They have developed a variety of hands-on activities for all ages to create in clay. In addition to demonstrations, participants who don’t mind getting messy can try their hand at the pottery wheel.

Clay on Main was at the Hamburg Arts Fest and Pike Township Show and Tell Event on May 16, Family Fun Days at Boyertown Park on May 30, and they will also be at Antietam Farmers and Artist Market on July 11, Maidencreek Old Time Music Fest in Blandon on July 12 (www.mcotmf.org) and Apple Festival in Oley on Oct.10.

So if you would like to get your hand in some clay or just see how it’s done, come join Clay on Main this summer at one of these local events. These activities are made possible by Clay on Main members and volunteers and support in part from Berks County Arts Fund Rural Arts Grant Program.
