Digital First MediaPOTTSTOWN >> Vintage baseball came to Memorial Park Sunday. The Colebrookdale Railroad played host to a vintage baseball game at the park and the community came out to ride through the Secret Valley Line with the players.

This historical experience was presented by the Athletic Base Ball Club of Philadelphia in partnership with the railroad. The players travelled from Philadelphia with their 1864 rules and standards.

The entire experience sent attendees back to late 1800s when baseball was just starting to get its footing and before the professional aspect began to take hold.

Proceeds from this event benefitted the Colebrookdale Railroad Preservation Trust, helping to complete the infrastructure and other components to make the line fully operable.
