A Christian Benefit Concert featuring Mark Schultz, Jean Watson and Heaven’s Thunder will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Calvin & Janet High Fine Arts Center located on the Lancaster Mennonite School campus.

In addition to music from the three artists, the event will also feature various fundraising merchandise for sale, numerous gift baskets to be raffled off and more! All proceeds from the concert will go towards an international adoption of Joy, a nine-year-old little girl who is in China and was born with Spina Bifida as well as bi-lateral club feet. She has spent most of her life in an orphanage. She needs medical attention here in the U.S.

Tickets can be purchased at www.hope4joy.com. Prices are $22 for general admission, $40 for VIP Seating with a pre-concert Meet and Greet and a friends and family four-pack for $80, which includes four general admission seats with the pre-concert Meet and Greet. There is also a church/youth group special 10-pack of general admission seating tickets for $175.

Mark SchultzDove award winning, Mark Schultz’s personal approach to music has topped the Christian Contemporary music scene with hits including “He’s My Son” and “Letters From War,” a poignant account of faith in the midst of strife, which served as the centerpiece of the Army’s 2004 “Be Safe, Make it Home” campaign. As one of Christian music’s most distinctive voices, Mark has a considerable catalog of tracks that can’t help but tug on his listeners’ hearts.

Jean WatsonA classically trained singer and violinist, Jean Watson delved into the Christian recording world as a singer/songwriter in 2003. Since that time, her voice and testimony of God’s grace and healing have touched thousands of lives around the world. The power of Jean’s message comes out of her unique ability to minister and perform with a balance of musical excellence and childlike transparency. God uses Jean to break barriers of the heart through her willingness to share the story of her own weakness and healing. Hearing Jean sing and speak brings an infusion of faith in the love and power of God. Her passion for God is absolutely contagious!

Heaven’s ThunderLocal band, Heaven’s Thunder, is an offshoot of Thunder Outreach Ministries and has been blessed with opportunities to minister to people from all walks of life by performing at churches, faith and family events for local sports teams, benefit events for local veterans and various community outreach programs across the South Eastern PA region! Deeply rooted in the classic rock genre, Heaven’s Thunder has borrowed from such musical influences as Third Day, Jesus Culture and Casting Crowns with a hint of country thrown in just for good measure! Their blend of acoustic and electric guitars, along with a solid foundation of heavy bass and hard-driving drums, sets the stage for the positive message evoked through their harmonious vocals.
