The Albright College Music Department will offer the following concerts in November and December. All concerts are free and open to the public, and held in Memorial Chapel:
Saturday, Nov. 14*The Albright Gospel Choir and Praise Dance Ministry will present a performance of sacred music with style at 3 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 20*The McDonald-Cho-Rosen Trio will present a performance and discussion of masterworks by Ludwig Van Beethoven at 3 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 21*The Albright Symphonic Band, conducted by Timothy Gross, Albright adjunct faculty member in music, will present a repertoire of songs that celebrate the bounty of the season at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 22*The Albright String Chamber Orchestra & Big Cat Jazz Ensemble will present two mini-concerts at 3 p.m. The String Chamber Orchestra, conducted by John Pankratz, Ph.D., Albright professor of history, will present pieces by J.S. Bach. The Big Cat Jazz Ensemble will be conducted by Mike Eben, Albright adjunct faculty member in music.
Saturday, Dec. 12*The Albright College choral ensembles will present their annual holiday concert, Sounds of the Season, at 7:30 p.m. Featuring a variety of sacred and secular works for the Christmas season, the evening will include performances by the Concert Choir, Women’s Chorale, Albright Angels and Mane Men. Adlai Binger, director of choral ensembles, will conduct the concert.
