This year’s Christmas in Kutztown celebration, on Dec. 5, is slated to include an expanded set of musical offerings. Five musical groups from the Kutztown University Music Department, as well as bands and choirs from the Kutztown Area School District and area musicians will be preforming a wide variety of music including holiday songs throughout the day.

Starting at 12 p.m., Kutztown University’s Clarinet Ensemble will first perform for one hour at Jackie and Daughter Flowers, and flutists will perform from 1 to 3 p.m. at Sorrelli’s Jewelry. The Kutztown Pub will later host the Jazz Ensemble from 4 to 6 p.m., and to conclude, the Kutztown University Bear Voices choir will sing from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Historical Society. Guests will also enjoy following the strolling Trombone Choir along Main Street from 3 to 5 p.m.

The Kutztown Area High School, Middle School and Elementary School bands and choirs will contribute to the festivities on the Main Street stage, starting at noon and continuing throughout the event.

Marilyn’s Dance Studio students will perform “The Nutcracker” in the Kutztown Area High School Auditorium.

Christmas in Kutztown will take place Dec. 5 from 12 to 6 p.m. along Main Street and in the community. This event is organized by Kutztown Community Partnership (KCP) and is sponsored by the Kutztown University Sesquicentennial, Kutztown Rotary Club, KCP and the Kutztown Bicentennial.
