Santa will make his first annual visit to the Reading Public Museum for pictures and last minute wishes on Saturday, Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
McDonald’s will serve its “All Day” Sausage Biscuits and Apple Dippers in the Neag Planetarium between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. After breakfast, families will head to the Auditorium in The Museum where children can have their pictures taken with Santa by Dave Zerbe Studio Photography. Each participating child will leave with a memory 5×7″ photo.
“Welcoming families to The Museum for special occasions is something we do on a daily basis,” said John Graydon Smith, Director and CEO of The Museum. “This new event gives families just one more reason to come for a visit this holiday season.”
For prices, contact the Museum or visit their website. Children three and under are free. However, they must accompany a paid sibling for photographs. Only one print will be given per paid child. Additional prints will be available for purchase at the event.
Numerous time slots are available, but are filling up quickly. To register for a time slot, call Lindsay Crist at 610-371-5850 x230. Walk-ins are welcome but are not guaranteed breakfast or the chance to sit with Santa. The same pricing will be in effect at the door.
The Reading Public Museum is supported in part by grants from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and is located at 500 Museum Road, Reading. The Museum is open daily 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit www.readingpublicmuseum.org for more information.
