Montgomery County Community College will be highlighting the work of its talented art faculty and invited art alumni at its Annual Art Faculty and Invited Art Alumni Exhibit, which opens Wednesday, Feb. 3 and continues through Friday, Feb. 19, at the Fine Arts Center Gallery, Central Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell.

More than 40 full and part-time art faculty members and about 35 art alumni were invited to participate in the exhibition and sale. A special “Meet the Artists” reception will be held Wednesday, Feb. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the community. Everyone is welcome, especially students who wish to meet MCCC’s art faculty and alumni and discuss the College’s art program and opportunities.

MCCC’s accomplished art faculty, many of whom have exhibited their work both locally and nationally, bring their experience and expertise to the classroom to share with students. The College’s Fine Arts Center houses the fine arts studios and classrooms for the growing art program. Both Central and West campuses feature professional gallery space where students may showcase their artwork during the College’s annual student exhibitions.

The Annual Art Faculty and Invited Art Alumni exhibition includes a variety of styles and media, including ceramics, sculptures, oil paintings, drawings, photography and digital arts. The gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
