Fine Arts professor Evan Summer has been voted the third winning artist for his print piece, “Northern Sky,” in the Premio Leonardo Sciascia amateur d’estampes print show, which has exhibitions throughout Italy.

Summer will be presented with the award at a public ceremony in Milan at Sala della Balla in the Piazza Castello, which is also the location where Summer’s print will be donated at the end of the last exhibition at Fondazione Federica Galli. He will also be eligible for three supplementary exhibitions of a selection of his works at the Museum of Paper and Watermark in Fabriano, Il Bisonte Foundation in Florence and the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice.

Summer has been making prints for more than 35 years, and his work is included in many permanent collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, National Gallery of Art, the Brooklyn Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
