The third installment of the “Kung Fu Panda” franchise combines animation, action and comedy, as Po (the title character) contemplates his identity.
When an ancient evil warrior named Kai makes a journey from the spirit world to the mortal realm, to take the chi or life force of every Kung-Fu warrior, it is up to Po to save the day.
Po is thrust from student to teacher and takes on the task of training a bunch of pandas to defend the secret panda village, and defeat Kai.
Although this is a kids’ movie, there are thematic elements of mysticism and spirituality for the grown-ups.
The movie features the voices of Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman and Angelina Jolie, is rated PG and runs 1 hour and 35 minutes.
Rodeo’s Review: I liked this movie and thought it was good because of the animation, and the characters are cute. I also liked that there were some creepy parts, but they weren’t too scary. There are some sad parts, but I laughed because the movie is funny. I liked seeing where all the pandas lived, and watching how Po got there. Watch when the characters turn green!
I give this movie 3 out of 4 boxes of popcorn.
