The timeless “rags to riches” fairy tale becomes a new audience favorite in Disney’s “Cinderella Kids,” an adaptation of the treasured animated film that will charm its way into your heart and remind audiences that dreams really can come true.

Poor Cinderella is endlessly mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, and denied a chance to go to the royal ball. With a little help from her mice friends – and a lot of help from her Fairy Godmother – Cinderella’s dreams come true. She goes to the ball, meets the Prince and falls in love!

Disney’s “Cinderella Kids” features music and lyrics by Mack David, Al Hoffman and Jerry Livingston. The book was adapted by Marcy Heisler and the music adapted and arranged by Bryan Louiselle.

The show is directed by Simmon Fecho, music is directed by Dara Himes and it is choreographed by Megan Cusano, with stage management by Mamie Covell, a junior, and Briana Christie, a senior, at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts in Bethlehem.

Ten year old Bridget Ottinger, from Immaculate Conception Academy, is Cinderella, along with 10 year old Baylor Kobularcik as the Prince, from LaSalle Academy. Others principal roles in the cast include Chloe Kantner (Perla) of Saint Ignatius; Cole Sensenig (Grand Duke) of Wyomissing Hills; Gabe Roth (Gus) of Shallow Hills; Gretchen Himlin (Narrator #2) of Green Valley; Gwen Ellington (Narrator #1) of West Reading Elementary Center; Julia Weaver (Fairy Godmother) of Exeter Elementary; Kaia Kantner (Narrator #5) of Saint Ignatius; Lily Swinenart (Narrator #4) of Green Valley; Maggie Conlor (Narrator #3) of Immaculate Conception Academy; Mikaela Christie (Anastasia) of Conrad Wieser; Molly Neminrow (Step Mother) of Exeter Elementary; Natalya Hemmings (Dizella) of Wyomissing Hills; Sarah Anderson (Jaq) of Lorane Elementary; Sharon Borkey (Herald) of Schuylkill Valley Middle School; and William Ambarian (King) of Wyomissing Hills. The show features a cast of 40 talented youngsters!

Disney’s “Cinderella Kids” will be showing for one weekend only. The show opens Friday, April 1 at 7 p.m. and also runs Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 at 3 and 5:30 p.m. This performance will not offer different pricing for students and seniors. Tickets may also be available for purchase at the door on the day of the event. This is a family-friendly, G-Rated performance.
