Kutztown University is proud to present their own Neal Kirkwood in concert with the Jazz I Ensemble and After Hours Jazz Choir on April 29 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held at the Schaeffer Auditorium and entrance is free.
Kirkwood will be playing solo piano, both originals and classics. The student ensembles will perform original compositions by Kirkwood for big band and jazz chorus, including the world premiere of “The Art of Kindess” to poetry by Jack Kerouac.
Previously, KU and their ensembles have performed Kirkwood’s musical adaptations of selections from Kerouac’s “Mexico City Blues.”
