The Children’s Theatre of Albright will present “The Reading Eagle,” a devised play by Albright College assistant professor of theatre Matt Fotis, Ph.D., and senior Connor Feeney, on Sunday, May 8, at 1 p.m., in the College’s Roop Hall.

Directed by Albright junior Faith Jones-Jackson, the production of “The Reading Eagle” is free and open to the public.

The city of Reading is on the verge of receiving a Turnin’ It Around grant that will revitalize the town. All they need to do is show the International Turnin’ It Around Society what a great place Reading is…and they have just the person for it – the Reading Eagle, a proud bird that watches over the city. But when the bird goes missing, The Pagoda Days celebration is put in peril, and the city might never recover. Can the Reading Eagle’s daughter save the day and save the town? Or will the evil Guitar Eagle sink Reading’s dreams? Save the day. Save the city. Save your mom.

Fotis is an award-winning playwright whose work has been presented or developed at such places as The Lark, The Playwrights’ Center, The Kennedy Center, The Great Plains Theatre Conference, Emerging Artists Theatre, Ten Grand Productions and MATC Dramatists Play Lab.
