St. John Center Lutheran Church will continue their Music in the Grove program on Sunday, July 3 at 6 p.m. with The Horst Brothers. The Horst Brothers have been with us before and always have a crowd pleasing program.
For many years, they have been playing and carrying on the tradition of their late father, Ivan Horst, and his band, The Golden Valley Boys. The members of the group are Ray Horst (guitar and vocals), Elton Horst (vocals), Max Allison on banjo, Jim Thompson (bass and vocals), Matt Burkholder (fiddle), Tom Cook (mandolin) and Nathan Horst (guitar).
Since the program will be out in the grove, bring your lawn chairs. In case of rain, the program will be indoors.
St. John Center Lutheran Church and grove are located at 599 Reading Road, East Earl, a few miles south of Bowmansville along Route #625. An offering will be received for the band. Sandwiches (including the famous hot dogs) and refreshments will be available to benefit the youth. Come on out to the grove, relax and join us for an evening of fellowship, good food and bluegrass music.
