Humane PA announces Pints for Pups 2016, a rockabilly beer bash under the big top

Pints for Pups is the original dog and family friendly beer fest event and features delicious food, loads of beer for the tasting and live music! But that’s not even the best part; all proceeds from this beer tasting event go directly to veterinary, sheltering and adoption programs for animals in Berks and Lancaster Counties. Where else can you have more fun drinking a beer and saving a dog (or cat)?

We are switching things up this year and rolling with a rockabilly theme. Of course, there will be more than 75 brews to sample, including a Blue Collar Beer Tasting Bar. And we are going all in on the theme with music by the legendary Dibbs Preston and the Detonators. Dibbs literally helped create the rockabilly revival as front man of England’s Rockats, which opened for the Clash, Bowie and many more, and influenced the Blasters and Stray Cats. But we had you at Bowie, right? We will also have a hot/rat rod show and local venders. You’ll think you died and went to rockabilly heaven.

We are also bringing Pints for Pups home, literally! This year, we will be hosting at our life saving campus in Reading (11th and Bern Streets), right next door to Humane Society of Berks County and our new Humane Pennsylvania Headquarters and Humane Veterinary Hospitals Reading facility. We are taking the whole block over and setting up the big top, with a massive 25 foot tall pole tent. Think the circus, but instead of creepy clowns and tortured elephants, we have yummy beer and killer music!

General admission tickets are available for pre-order and at the door, and early admission VIP (Very Important Pinters) tickets are advance purchase only. VIP tickets get you in an hour early, get you special beers and get you preferred parking. We also have reduced cost designated driver tickets and special Junior Pinter tickets for families with kids under 21 (with ticketed parents and, duh, no beer). All ticket holders except Junior Pinters get their very own 2016 PfP logo glass featuring Spike and Tilly to take home! Tickets can be purchased at www.humanepa.org.
