The Golden Rams Marching Band call themselves “Incomparable,” and for good reason. The band performs regularly at West Chester University football games, numerous exhibition events throughout the region and at special events for the university and community. They recently performed at halftime during a Pittsburgh Steelers game in September, and have also performed during Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, New York Giants and Washington Redskins football games.

This year’s performance is called, “Paint it Black,” and opens with the mysterious sounds of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Prelude in d-minor, Modest Mussorgsky’s Hut of Baba Yaga and Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony #10. Next up is the haunting sounds of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Sound of Silence,” and the show concludes with an energetic performance of The Rolling Stones “Paint it Black.”
