Artists and galleries in Barto, Boyertown, and Oley will open their spaces to the public for the sixth annual “Fall Into Winter Tour” the weekend before Thanksgiving, November 19-20, 2016, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Featured along with fine art and fine craft studios are venues offering the artistry of Mother Nature: food and beverage products from the area’s orchards, gardens, and farms.

The 2016 “Fall into Winter Tour” features 3 new venues: Leavitt Studios, All Things Ewesful, and Covered Bridge Farmstand.

All Things Ewesful invites all levels of skill to their yarn store and studio. Covered Bridge Farmstand is a cooperative of farmers and food producersfeaturing Valley Milkhouse Artisan Cheese and other wholesome baked, fermented, and grown foods.

At Leavitt Studios, through their hands-on approach, artists Greg and Tiana Leavitt allow for the love of the material and process to be imbued into the spirit of their work and invite you to tour the studio, see the sculpture garden, enjoy portfolios, and peruse select small pieces that will be available for holiday gifts. Small custom commissions are also possible.

Leavitt Studio has forged a niche practicing a form of art that is quickly passing into history. Doing major works in landscape and horticultural settings they create enduring landmarks in steel, copper, and brass. Their widely varied sculptures can be found in many private gardens in the Tri-State area. Some of the works for private homes enjoy a functional purpose in the way of gates, arches and railings.

Participating artists and galleries include the founder of the studio tour Linda Rohrbach-Austerberry and her friends artist Gail Fronheiser and woodworker Ken Burton in Barto; in Boyertown, Studio B Fine Art Gallery featuring an exhibit of artists who are partners in life and in art; Frecon Farms and Other Farm Brewing Company; Dancing Tree Creations Artisans Gallery and Studio showcasing over 200 American artists and fine crafters; Taylor Backes Glass Studio and Gallery, and Leavitt Studios; in Oley, Clay On Main, Covered Bridge Farmstand, and All Things Ewesful.

The stops include gift-able items, fine art, home decor, and local culinary art and beverages. All work is for sale. There will also be special events at several locations; tour-goers are encouraged to visit http://studiobbb.org/fall-into-winter for the latest details, a complete list of participating artists and events, driving directions, and tour map.

During the tour, visitors will receive a ticket at each venue they visit that can be entered into a special drawing for hand-crafted items donated by the participating artists or venues.

“I love how this has grown,” offers Rohrbach-Austerberry. “We have so much fun with this every year, and I’m really looking forward to sharing our work with everyone who stops by.”

Lyn Camella-Rich of Dancing Tree Creations Artisans Gallery and Studio suggests, “We’re always excited to show our facility and the work of hundreds of artists. The annual ‘Fall into Winter Tour’ allows you to finish your holiday shopping early with everything from pottery and glass to paintings and jewelry while supporting the talents of local artists in your communities.”

The hours of the tour are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19 and 20. Maps of the tour sites are available by e-mail, Facebook, on websites of participating venues, and at participating studios.
