A companion piece to the “Harry Potter” film franchise. Writer Newt Scamander lands in early 1900’s New York, with a suitcase full of creatures in all sizes and shapes endowed with other-worldly powers. Action-adventure and fantasy are set on a collision course when these creatures break loose to make their presence known in the New York of yesteryear. It’s up to Newt to track them down and return them to his suitcase before they can wreak havoc on the city. When a secret society that governs the actions of witches and wizards becomes involved in the search, Newt and his creatures’ existence are both threatened... and the underbelly of the metropolis becomes the site for an ultimate battleground between good and evil magic.

“Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them” is rated PG-13, runs 133 minutes, and stars: Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, and Colin Farrell.

Rodeo’s Kid Review:

“Fantastic Beasts” was a fantastic movie and I would give it 4 popcorn boxes because it was very magical since they had a boy named Newt Scamander who got expelled from Hogwarts and is now roaming the streets of New York with a case of magical creatures. What I loved about this movie was the magical creatures and the chase to return them to the wizard’s suitcase. I enjoyed the suspense of the scary things that happened as he searched all though New York for the creatures. I also liked the friendship between the wizard and his Muggle named Jacob, who is helpful and funny. This is why I gave this movie 4 popcorn boxes.
