Studio B Fine Art Gallery, 39A East Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown, announces the opening of “Defining WORLD,” the studio’s 9th annual juried show featuring art celebrating our environment sponsored by Liberty Environmental, Inc. a company with offices in Reading, Lancaster, Philadelphia and New York. This annual exhibition attracts artists from Berks, Montgomery, Lehigh, Lancaster, and Philadelphia counties.

The exhibit opens Friday, April 21, with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibit closes June 4. The exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public.

Susan Biebuyck, Studio B’s gallery director, looks for an angle each year to challenge artists to a fresh take on responding to our environment. Each year Biebuyck selects a juror from her network of artists, gallery directors, directors of area art centers and patrons to choose winners for monied prizes.

This season, Biebuyck is reaching out to artists in works of all media to interpret their world-the planet, their home, their lives-politically, culturally, or environmentally.

Prizes will be awarded on Friday night, including the coveted “Best In Show,” which nets the winner a cash prize as well as a featured spot during the environmentally-themed exhibit in 2018. Please visit studiobbb.org for more information.

Studio B, located in the heart of historic Boyertown, is the home of the Arts and Activities Alliance, a committee of Building a Better Boyertown, a nonprofit Main Street program dedicated to revitalizing small towns.
