Studio B, 39A East Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown, is pleased to add fourth Friday evenings of each month to its schedule in support of the Boyertown’s Merchants Committee initiative entitled “Fourth Friday Art Walks.”

On April 28, at Studio B, Susan Biebuyck, fine artist and gallery director, and fine artist Angela Izzo, will host “Paint with Pints or Scapes with Grapes,” an art painting party in which each participant will leave with a painting he or she will create during the party. A participation fee of $15 will cover the cost of materials and light refreshments for this “Fourth Friday Art Walk Special.” Pre-registration is required by texting or calling 484-332-2757; email suebie@ptd.net. (Private parties can be scheduled at $35 per person. 10-person minimum)

Studio B’s schedule of Fourth Friday Art Walk art activities continues on May 26, 2017, with Carrie Kingsbury, painter and mural artist, who will facilitate painting on glass, teaching the basics of how to prepare the glass for painting and how to do leaves in certain flowers, patterns, designs, or faces.

On June 23, 2017, former art instructor and fine artist Deborah Hamburger will demonstrate a printmaking effort.

On July 28, 2017, artist and writer Pamela Hodges will assist participants in making coloring book pages. Hodges’ self-published coloring book Color the Cats features forty real cats from around the world and their stories and is available for sale at Studio B along with her recently-released book How to Be a Cat.

Artists wishing to facilitate a lesson or demonstration during Fourth Friday Art Walks should contact Jane Stahl, janeEstahl@comcast.net, 610-563-7879 to schedule.

The Fourth Friday Art Walk initiative offers the community a scheduled time to visit downtown to enjoy, exhibit, and patronize local businesses, give local artists and musicians an outlet to exhibit and perform in the Boyertown area, and contribute to the ongoing revitalization of downtown.

Any and all businesses or non-profit organizations in the Boyertown Main Street Merchant Group Boundary are invited to participate. Email BoyertownMerchants@gmail.com with questions or comments.
