Intra-Berks Cultural Exchange: Clay On Main and Art Plus Gallery trade showcases

Clay on Main in Oley and Art Plus Gallery in West Reading are exhibiting work in a unique way. Both centers are artist cooperatives with gallery space, and will show their sister organization’s work this June and July. Art Plus has twenty-one member artists, including painters, photographers, and textile artists, and their work is displayed at Clay on Main’s gallery space until July 2nd. Clay on Main’s fourteen co-op members mainly work in ceramic, but also include painters and glass artists. Their work will be on view at Art Plus through July 3rd.

Clay on Main is located at 313 Main Street in Oley, and is open to the public on Sundays from 1-4; Tuesdays from 10-2, Wednesdays from 12-9, and Fridays and Saturdays from 10-2. Additional viewing of the gallery can be arranged by appointment.

Art Plus Gallery is a 25-member, non-profit cooperative of local artists representing a wide range of media, styles and levels of experience. Some of the members are well-known professionals with work in public and private collections around the country, others are talents new to the art scene. Art Plus is located at 604 Penn Avenue in West Reading; their hours are Wednesdays from 12-5, Thursdays from 12-7, Fridays and Saturdays from 12-8, and Sundays from 11-4.
