The Farm Country Shindig season will open with a 6 p.m. concert on Saturday, Oct. 7 in the Banquet Hall at the Reinholds Fire Company along Rt. 897 in Reinholds.

BLUETRAIN has been a 5 piece bluegrass band since 2013. The band consists of veteran musicians Dave Propst on lead vocals and mandolin, Rick Miller on vocals and guitar, Tom Reeves on bass and vocals and George Osing on banjo and Tom Lyons on fiddle. Each member of the band has a history of working with some of the best bluegrass musicians in the DC, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania areas.

Dave Probst, featured on mandolin and vocals, has previously performed with bands such as Norman Wright, Kevin Church and the Travelers, Darren Beachley and Potomac, Maryland Line and The Country Gentlemen Tribute Band. Tom Reeves was exposed to bluegrass, country and gospel music at an early age, being influenced by his own family’s musical talent. Tom has performed with multiple area bluegrass bands and is featured on bass and vocals. He has performed with bands such as The Satyr Hill Band and The Darren Beachley Band. George Osing has developed a blended style by combining them to create his own unique banjo style. George has previously performed with the Dean Sapp and Hartford Express and the Barren Beachley Band. Tommy Lyons is featured on the fiddle. He has performed with many bands around the DC, Va., Md. and Pa. area including The Harold Tipton Band, and The Dixie Cannonballs. Lastly, but not least is Rick Miller featured on guitar and vocals. Rick brings his different renditions and views of the music he grew up with. He has played with Gamber Station and when not performing with BLUETRAIN, Rick will play with The Satyr Hill Band.

So, come and see for yourself how the future of Bluegrass music is still in very capable hands! Appearing with BLUETRAIN will be Chester Johnson and The Foggy Mountain Grass along with Scott Eager. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Admission will be by set donation of $15 for adults or for teens 13 to 17 at $10. Children 12 and under are free. Food will be available by the fire company.
