Kiss A Pig candidate hosts Adult Easter Egg Festival at Setter Ridge Vineyards, Kutztown

Kiss A Pig Candidate, Heather Moyer, for Olivet Boys & Girls Club will be hosting her first fundraising event an Adult Easter Egg Truck & Food Truck Festival on March 24 at Setter Ridge Vineyards, Kutztown.

The Kiss A Pig Contest began as a way to raise funds and increase the awareness of Olivet Boys & Girls Club. Since the contest’s inception, Olivet Boys & Girls Club has been able to recruit local business and community leaders to compete for the “honor” of kissing a pig owned by Ms. Kim Miller. To date, the Kiss-A-Pig contest has been one of the most successful fundraisers for the Club, raising over one million dollars. Kiss-A-Pig Candidates compete to raise the most money for Olivet Boys & Girls Club. Candidates do this by communicating with their contacts, holding contests, sponsoring events, involving their employees, friends, neighbors, vendors and others, and using their enthusiasm and creativity. The three Candidates who raise the most money will kiss Miss Maycie May the pig at Olivet’s annual Steak & Burger Dinner. The cost for this event includes a free glass with the option of a wine tasting flight of 5 or glass of wine. There will be prizes, live music, food, the Easter Bunny and a special appearance by the philanthropic pig, Miss Maycie May herself. The hunt begins at 1 p.m. Don’t forget your Easter Basket.

After the egg hunt, sit back and enjoy some great food, drinks and music. Wine and beer will be available for purchase.

For those not interested in participating in the egg hunt, join for some live music, food and fun for minimal cover charge.

Food Trucks selling food from 12 to 4 p.m., including The EGG Truck, Garofalo’s Calabria Old World Italian Cuisine, Gourmand Cafe, The Sticky Pig.

Music by Olivet Boys & Girls Club alumnus and Kutztown University of Pennsylvania student Renato Sanabria from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Entertainment by Hannah Violet Trio 1:30 to 4 p.m.

This is a rain or shine event. There is a 5 egg maximum per participant. Must be 21 or over to participate. Tickets for this event are limited and MUST be purchased online, www.olivetbgc.org/heather-moyer and click on the 21 and over Egg Hunt link. Cost of food is not included in participant fee. No outside food is permitted. Event is dog friendly, leash required. There is no ATM on site.
