As part of the 2018 Borough of Kutztown Concert Series in the Park, The 60s Boys will take the stage on Saturday night, June 23, from 7 to 9:15 p.m. to entertain the crowd.

The sounds of the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s will come alive as The 60s Boys, under the leadership of Sam Alonge, bring their unique showmanship and vocals to the stage. They are the premier oldies band of Eastern Pennsylvania and bring tribute to the sounds of the era. This high energy act has been delighting audiences since 2011, and previously performed under the name The Mudflaps for 30 years prior. The full sounding oldies band complete with horn section, guitars, drums, and lead vocalist will deliver a high quality vocal and instrumental show that will have you toe tapping and dancing to the oldies.

The band has become very popular as they bring their style and entertainment reminiscent of the great bands as perform the music of some of the most popular and memorable hits and classics. If you recall the great sounds of the 50s, 60s and 70s you grew up in that era, like that style music, or just need an entertaining night out, this is a must see concert. Come early, get good seats as this concert is well attended each year. Bring the family and friends, and get ready for a great time, great music, and a trip down memory lane. Travel with The 60s Boys as they take you on that trip to the era when the sounds of the Twist, the Mashed Potato, and the Bristol Stomp could be heard in dance halls, high school gyms, on every juke box, and at the drive-in movies.

The park concession stand, located near the bandshell, is under new management this year. New Manager, Chris Moyer, owner of Mad Dogs in Kutztown, has taken over the operation of the stand for the Borough. Mad Dogs in the Park, as it has been named, has a variety on their menu, ranging from a variety of dogs, wraps, salads, various varieties of fries, chicken tenders, and many other items for your enjoyment. They will be open before the concert and during the concert intermission.

The concert is free to the public and is part of the Borough of Kutztown 2018 Concert Series in the Park, and will be held rain or shine in the covered Kutztown Park Bandshell. The concert series is made possible by the Borough of Kutztown and the generous support of the following co-sponsors.
