The Heritage of Green Hills, a healthy life plan community, will host a reception for the opening of an exhibition of artwork by 10 members of the Berks Art Alliance (BAA). The reception will be held at the community on Friday, July 13, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The Heritage is located at 200 Tranquility Lane, Shillington, just off Morgantown Road/Route 10 across from The Flying Hills Golf Course. The event is free and open to the public for the opening night only. Complimentary wine, cheese and fruit will be served.

The works of art will include pastels, acrylics, watercolors and photographs. Some of the artwork will be for sale.

“Several Heritage residents are active members of The Berks Art Alliance, and some of their artwork is part of the exhibition,” said Cheryl Anderson, Well by Design director for The Heritage. “The Alliance is a wonderful artistic resource for Berks County, and our resident artists really enjoy the opportunity the organization gives them to continue to grow artistically and stay engaged with the local arts community.”

The BAA encourages artists by providing educational workshops, inspiration through trips to museums and art events, exhibition opportunities for members and non-members, and sharing information about the local arts scene. The BAA also engages with the arts community by participating in art demonstrations and supporting charitable organizations to help keep the arts in Berks County alive and growing.
