Cars of all sorts head to Kutztown on Saturday, July 28 for the 4th annual Kutztown Kruizz.

The Kruizz, hosted by Kutztown Community Partnership, invites classic and show worthy cars to West Main Street. The event begins with registration and staging at Kutztown University from 10:30 a.m. to noon, then a parade of vehicles heads down Main Street. The cars will remain parked on Main Street from 1 to 5 p.m. for visitors to enjoy the beauty of the classics and state-of-the art body work of the new.

Participating cars will be selected for Top 15 Awards by Main Street businesses and restaurants. Those in attendance will have a chance to choose their favorite by voting for People’s Choice and Kid’s Choice awards. Kutztown’s mayor, Jim Schlegel, will present the Mayor’s Choice Award that designates the best car in the Kruizz.

During the afternoon, many Main Street businesses and restaurants will offer Kruizz specials. Several unique events add to the festivities, including music on the deck of Ray’s Pizza de Sogno, farm fresh foods from the Nesting Box on the patio of the Main Street Inn, children’s pictures in race cars provided free of charge by Business Link and Action Track USA and photos of your favorite Kruizz cars captured by Pickup Impressions.

The Main Street Stage will have day long music featuring Shake, Rattle and Soul, and will be the site of the end of day car awards ceremony.

The Kruizz continues into the evening with a 6 p.m. concert in Kutztown Park featuring The Fabulous Grease Band.

A portion of the proceeds from the Kruizz will benefit Kutztown Strong, the local substance abuse coalition. The remaining proceeds will be reinvested in downtown Kutztown through Kutztown Community Partnership’s programs and initiatives.

Last year, the Kruizz attracted more than 300 vehicles and several thousand spectators.
