Reading Library sponsoring comic book illustration workshop

On Monday, Aug. 6, Reading Public Library will partner with the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) and Dollar General Literacy Foundation to provide a teen workshop on comic book art. The workshop will be held at the RPL Teen Loft, Main Library, 100 S. 5th St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with lunch and materials provided.

Digital artist, author and painter, Jean Esther, will conduct the workshop that will culminate in participants making their own comic book panel.

Registration is required and seating is limited. Register now through August 3 by stopping by the Teen Loft, 100 S. 5th St., calling 610-655-6350 ext. 241 or via email to rplya@reading.lib.pa.us

Reading Public Library will hold a writing contest throughout the summer open to all teens in the Reading School District. Participation in the workshops is encouraged but not required to participate in the contest.
