The free Honey Brook Borough Concert in the Park series continues Aug. 5 with a performance by The Wild Hymns from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

The Wild Hymns perform the original songs of Megan Woodward Hewitt and her band. The band hails from South Central Pennsylvania and can be described as melodically distinct and enchanting neo-folk with elements of jazz, pop, swing, world, Americana and mellow rock and roll.

The band consists of Megan Woodward Hewitt on guitar and vocals, Jeff Hewitt on guitar, Cindy David on bass and vocals, Shelley Herlihg on percussion and vocals and Robert Shuckle on keyboard.

The Wild Hymns promise an evening of hauntingly beautiful music with a mystical, spiritual feel. Check out the bands website at thewildhymns.com.

Concert-goers are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and picnics. The park has a large covered pavilion with picnic tables. The Honey Brook Lions Club will be providing food and beverages for purchase.

We will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Honey Brook Food Pantry at each concert.

In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel will be made by 1 p.m. the day of the show. A cancellation message will be recorded on the Borough phone line 610-273-2020. Alcoholic beverages and pets are not permitted in the park.
