Twin Valley Food Pantry (TVFP), an outreach ministry of Conestoga Mennonite Church, 769 Main St. (Route 23), Morgantown, received a $500 check for Thanksgiving turkeys that were distributed to families in need during the pantry’s food distribution on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from Anthony D’Ambrosio Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Ram.
Anthony’s would like to thank all our customers who purchased a vehicle during our November “Unlock the Savings” event and allowed us to make this much needed donation.
This year, the pantry is hoping to provide every needy family with a turkey for their Thanksgiving dinner.
The TVFP is always in need of general food donations. Items that are currently needed by the pantry include sugar; cereal; beverages that do not require refrigeration, such as lemonade, soda, water and fruit juice; paper products, including toilet paper and paper towels; and cleaning supplies, including laundry detergent, dishwashing soap and bars of soap. Fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as eggs and meat produts such as ham, Cornish hens and venison, are always welcome a few days before the distribution. Items can be dropped off at the Conestoga church office Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For more information about the pantry, including volunteer opportunities, please call the church office at 610-286-9124 or email Howard Moss at email@example.com.
