Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce forms search committee for new executive director

The Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce has formed a search committee, led by Gretchen Strouphar, incoming 2015 Chairman of the Board/ President. The committee members include board members and also chamber members who are not directors all of whom have hiring and/or HR experience.

The committee membership will be finalized and the official search launches in the first week of January 2015. Interested applicants for the Executive Director position should forward their resumes directly to gretchen.strouphar@kellyservices.com for consideration.

“Because the Executive Director role is critical to the operation of our organization, we plan to do our due diligence in order to find top talent regardless of the length of time it takes,” said Strouphar.

The successful candidate should have previous sales, business development and leadership experience. Previous experience in non-profit organizations helpful but not required. Knowledge of member retention strategies, community outreach and high community visibility is necessary. The Executive Director is a salaried part-time position and requires participation in Chamber events during and after office hours. The compensation will be based on the experience and skills of the successful candidate.
