National Penn Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq: NPBC) announced Sept. 14 that Gary W. Brown Jr. has been named a mortgage loan originator in its Mortgage Sales group. Brown will report to Kathleen Godio, senior vice president and director of the company’s Mortgage Sales group.
In his role, Brown will be responsible for marketing and supporting National Penn’s Mortgage group loan programs with designated internal referral sources as well as realtors, builders and other referral sources. He will be part of the team serving Berks County.
Brown, who resides in Bern Township, has 20 years of industry experience. Before joining National Penn, he most recently served as a mortgage loan specialist for Citizens Bank. Brown earned his bachelor’s degree from York College of Pennsylvania.
