All Abilities Fitness Center in Exeter, located at 3811 Perkiomen Avenue (Business Route 422), a first-of-its-kind fitness center is specifically focused on adapted exercise and movement classes for the special needs population.

Programs consist group classes for kids, teens, and young adults with various disabilities. The classes adapt each exercise and class to best fit the needs of everyone in attendance.

Tara Simmons, owner of All Abilities Fitness, states, “After working with special needs children, teens, and adults for the past 11 years, an ongoing theme was the need for a safe and inclusive space that offered both exercise and the ability to move through sensory areas. Out of these many conversations and parent’s frustration, I decided to offer this service for the disabled community. At All Abilities Fitness Center, we offer movement classes, one-on-one training, private group training, and the option to bring our staff and instructors to facilities in Berks County to apply our program. Our focus is to offer inclusion. Everyone deserves the opportunity to have a space in the community where they feel welcomed and encouraged to attend! We are all about adapted movement and strive off the ability to provide that ‘just right challenge’ with the skill set to understand individual sensory needs. Everyone is included. Everyone moves! We are so excited to be the first facility and program of this type in Berks County!”

All Abilities Fitness welcomes the community to visit their center and meet their staff. Their team of professionals will consult with anyone interested in participating one on one to understand their limitations and focus on what they can do. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to get a sense of what the fitness center can offer. All Abilities staff, LOVES TO MOVE. They utilize trampolines, jump ropes, bands, medicine balls, therapy balls, and other types of equipment to support movement. Students of any age should not worry if jumping or running is a concern, their dedicated and knowledgeable staff are experts in accommodations. EVERYONE is INCLUDED! EVERYONE MOVES!
