Tour of Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church

Wednesday, February 5Join us for the February program of the Boyertown Area Historical Society. We will meet at the Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, Father Schneider Hall, 610 Pine Street in Bally at 7 PM, where we will hear about the illustrative history of the parish, the fourth oldest Roman Catholic Church building in the first 13 states, built in 1743. It will be followed by a tour of the facility, including its Museum, and a performance on its magnificent Krauss organ by Rob Zambanini. ANNOUNCEMENTSPRO-ACT Family Addiction Education Program Serves Montgomery County

Next session in Pottstown runs Feb. 5, 12 and 19; When someone is addicted to drugs or alcohol, the disease affects the entire family. Each month PRO-ACT (Pennsylvania Recovery Organization-Achieving Community Together) hosts a Family Addiction Education Program to help individuals and family recognize and address an addiction problem in a spouse, parent, child or other loved one. Led by trained volunteers who have been in the same situation, these information and support programs begin on the first Wednesday of the month and run for three consecutive Wednesday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Creative Health in Pottstown.

Boyertown High Music Department’s 2014 Production

The Tony award winning musical ‘Jekyll & Hyde’ will be presented in April 2014. The show is based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale ‘The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.’ This show premiered on Broadway in 1997 and was the recipient of four Tony awards. Show times are Thursday, April 3 thru Saturday April 5 at 7 p.m. and Sunday April 6 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 and will be available for purchase starting Wednesday Dec. 4. Tickets may be purchased in person every Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the BASH New Auditorium lobby. Tickets will also be available for sale before holiday concerts taking place in the Boyertown Area High School auditorium. If you are unable to make a purchase in person, there is also a mail in order form available on the home page of the Boyertown Area School District website www.boyertownasd.org.
