Clay on Main will offer a Nuno felting workshop on Saturday April 5, 2014 10 to 1 PM. Nuno felting incorporates several layers of loose fibers combined to build up color, texture, and/or design elements in the finished fabric. The technique bonds loose fiber, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk

gauze, creating a lightweight felt. The fibers can completely cover the background fabric, or be used as a decorative design that allows the backing fabric to show. This class is for all skill levels.

The instructor, Kimberly Tanzos is an Lehigh Valley based fiber artist who teaches at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem. We are pleased to have Kimberly return to Clay on Main to teach this popular felting workshop. The $45 workshop fee included all materials for one completed scarf. Workshop size is limited.
