Coming out of Hibernation

Building a Better Boyertown (BBB) is hosting the Coming Out of Hibernation event on Saturday, April 19th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on East Philadelphia Avenue between Washington and Chestnut Streets. Historic Haunted Walk

Alumni band concert

The Boyertown Alumni Marching Unit will present its 38th annual Spring Concert on Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at Boyertown Junior High West, 2nd and Madison streets. This year’s concert will honor the Pottstown Band, which donated its music library to the unit.

Selections are expected to include “National Game March,” “Pop and Rock Legends: The Mamas and the Papas,” “12th Street Rag,” “Guadalcanal March,” “Amparito Roca,” “On The Mall March,” “Fanfare For The Glorious Naycart” and “Trombone King.” The concert will also have featured performances, surprises and performances by the band front.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students and can be purchased at Crown Card and Candy Shoppe, 183 Holly Road, Gilbertsville. They will be available at the door. For more information on the group, visit bamu.webs.com.

Meals on Wheels

Volunteers are the backbone of the Meals on Wheels program. Drivers pick up meals at a Multi-Service and then follow the specific route guidance provided, delivering meals to the recipients along the way. Sometimes volunteers team up in twos, with one driving and the other taking the meal into the recipient.

BINGO Walking

For Seniors is free to all seniors (62+). To be held Wednesday, April 16, May 21, June 18, September 17, and October 15 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Boyertown Area Sr. High School, Memorial Stadium Track 120 North Monroe Street, Boyertown. When you arrive, you will receive a BINGO card and for each quarter lap you walk around the track, you will get to pull a BINGO number for your own personal card and mark your number. When you receive 5 in a row you get to choose a prize from our Prize Table. Prizes include: gift certificates, household goods and healthy living items.
