Kutztown Community Choir has scheduled its annual spring choral concert-Seasons of Love. The concert will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 357 W. Main St., Kutztown, on Sunday, May 18, at 7 p.m.

The audience is sure to enjoy the musical expression of the many moods and seasons of love, as interpreted through a wide sampling of selections by well-beloved composers and musicians from Gershwin to Freddie Mercury.

The choir will perform popular pieces, exploring love’s first bloom as whimsically represented in Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall in Love) by Cole Porter, love lost as in Philip Kern’s arrangement of It’s the Talk of the Town, to love in its autumn years described through the pop favorite of John Lennon and Paul McCartney-When I’m Sixty-Four.

The concert will also feature a special guest appearance by the talented Josee Vachon. Josee has been sharing her Franco-American upbringing for over 25 years through traditional and contemporary folksongs from Quebec and Acadia and through her own compositions.

Michael Barron will be directing the choir and Greta (Luckenbill) Ertel will be the accompanist. Anne Sitarik and Richard Wagner will each step in to direct a few special numbers. There is no admission charge, but a goodwill offering will be received for the benefit of the choir’s music fund.
