Come for a shopping tour of Downtown Boyertown on a warm summer Caribbean-themed evening. Enjoy streets decorated with beautiful leis and classic cars. Jerk Chicken, anyone? In the past years, Building a Better Boyertown (BBB) has hosted a series of community events on the 3rd Saturday of each month. With the permission of the Borough of Boyertown, BBB’s 7th Annual Cruise Night will hit the streets of Boyertown on July 19, 2014, with a rain date of July 26, 2014.

New this year: Caribbean Theme, Captain Jack (impersonator), Best ‘Hawaiian Shirt’ Contest

Our Caribbean Cruise Night will include a special appearance by (impersonator) Captain Jack, and we are holding a

‘Best Hawaiian Shirt’ contest. The main sponsor of the event is Quigley Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Boyertown, PA. An exciting, not-to-be-missed surprise will be revealed by the ‘Save Our Clock Tower’ restoration committee. ‘Back to the Future’ movie will have a special showing at the State Theatre. Visitors are encouraged to stroll throughout all of our historic community, and those who wish to tour the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles will receive discounts into the car museum as well as drink tickets from Iezzi’s Tavern, 61 S. Reading Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512. This is going to be a good Cruise night.

Building a Better Boyertown’s Cruise Night will take place along ‘an island oasis’ on Route 562 and Reading Avenue and the lots of National Penn Bank and the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles. Registration will be in the parking lot of Good Shepherd Church. Reading Avenue will be closed from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm, from the intersection of Third Street to Philadelphia Avenue and Route 73 and Fifth Street to Philadelphia Avenue/Route

73. Detour directions will be posted, and Philadelphia Avenue will remain open. Alternate parking for spectators will be available in the inner core parking lot and along Walnut Street.

Last year more than 250 cars participated and more than 750 spectators attend the Car show in Downtown Boyertown. We hope you consider sponsoring the event this year and we invite you to come out to see the beautiful cars parked under the Victorian street lights, walk-friendly sidewalks and restoration improvements in downtown Boyertown. If your business is interested in sponsoring this event, it is the responsibility of the business to provide your own service area, stand/booth, equipment, and personnel as well as set up and tear down for the vending area. If your business chooses to sponsor the event but does not wish to have a vending area, your business may donate that location to a civic group of your choice.
