To celebrate the township’s park and talented individuals, New Hanover is hosting a Got Talent event for the very first time.
‘We thought of it last year at Fall Frolic,’ said Connie Garner, Recreation Director of New Hanover Township, mentioning that the event does well in other areas.
According to Garner, there are just a few folks currently signed up, mostly singers and one individual will be doing gymnastics. Anyone can sign-up to win. There is no age restriction.
For those interested in participating, there is a sign-up sheet in the New Hanover Township office at 2943 North Charlotte Street, Gilbertsville.
‘It will be fun for people to come out and watch,’ said Garner.
The event is slated be held on Tuesday, July 22, at Hickory Park from 6 to 9 .m. The evening will conclude with karaoke.
Hickory Park is currently competing in the Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation local park contest.
