2014 Holiday Train Room Open House at Garden Spot Village: Garden Spot Village Train Club invite public to annual model railroad exhibit open house, 1:30 to 4 p.m. Dec. 13, Dec. 20 and Dec. 27. Train Room features an O-gauge display as well as an HO-gauge layout with more than 600 feet of main line track. Dec. 17An evening with Santa Claus: Green Hills Manor, personal care community on campus of The Heritage of Green Hills in Shillington. 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Green Hills Manor is at 10 Tranquility Lane in Shillington, off Route 10 across from the Flying Hills Golf Club. The event is free. Santa will arrive by fire truck at 6:30 p.m. He will read some of his favorite holiday stories to the children, pose for pictures with them and ask what they’d like for Christmas. Cocoa and cookies will be served, and residents of Green Hills Manor will join the children in singing Christmas carols.

Dec. 19Community Dinner: St. Peter UCC, Route 23, Knauertown 5:30 to 7 pm to celebrate the holidays. The dinner main course will be holidays favorites. The public is invited to enjoy food, fellowship, fun and live entertainment. For more information, call 610-469-9690.

Dec. 20Honey Brook Women’s Club: A Children’s Christmas Store will be held Dec. 20 at the Lion’s Center, 14 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Honey Brook from 8 to 11 AM; Breakfast with Santa 7 to 11 a.m. Minimal fee. All are welcome.

Open House: The Heritage of Green Hills, Shillington, invites the public to free vintage model railroad room 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. 405 feet of track. Light refreshments and music, visit with Santa. The Heritage is located at 200 Tranquility Lane, just off Morgantown Road/Route 10.

GARDEN SPOT VILLAGE TO HOST KEYSTONE BRASS QUINTET: 7 p.m. in the chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland. Concert will include traditional carols, contemporary Christian Christmas music and other selections. Free and open to public. Donations accepted at the door.

Dec. 24Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be 7:00 p.m. at Grace and Truth Fellowship, 201 Walnut Street, Morgantown, PA. All are welcome to join us and celebrate God with us.

Dec. 25FREE Community Christmas Day Dinner: Hopewell United Methodist Church, 852 Hopewell Rd, Downingtown (Guthriesville area), 2:30pm, December 25, for anyone who wishes to attend, including those who otherwise would be eating alone, or not at all.
