On Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 11 and 12, Oley Township will play host to the 7th annual Antique Power and Apple Festival at the Oley Fairgrounds, 26 Jefferson Street, Oley.

The festivities begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday with the traditional quoit tournament, a fun and competitive event for men and women of all ages. If cars are your thing, bring your ‘baby’ and register for the judged car show. Registration for that event will be held between 8 and 11. Also on Saturday is the ever-popular tractor parade scheduled to weave its way through the fairgrounds at noon. And, finally, you can bring your lawn chair and settle in for some good old-fashioned live entertainment by ‘Twitty Fever’ from 2 to 5 p.m.

On Sunday, festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with a garden tractor and ATV pull. A kids’ pedal tractor pull will be held at 1 p.m., and the band Midnight Special will be providing live entertainment from 1 to 4 p.m. The always popular cow chip bingo will take place at 2 p.m.

Other festival highlights include hay and barrel train rides. Plenty of food including lots of apple goodies will be available throughout the two-day event.
