Boyertown’s holiday season begins Friday, Dec. 5, with the 12th Annual Boyertown Holiday Open House Tour which runs from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Tour a variety of festive homes decorated for the Holidays, including the Colebrookdale Railroad’s historic railroad cars as they are being renovated, unique shops and a Festival of trees. Many businesses in town will have special activities and treats for the tour participants. Trolley rides to the sites are included in the price and are strongly encouraged as parking is not available at some of the homes.

Tickets are available in advance at Frecon Farms, 501 S Reading Ave, Patsy’s Potpourri, Zimmer’s Pet Store, Twin Turrets, on East Philadelphia Avenue and the Boyertown Historical Society located at 43 S. Chestnut Street Boyertown. Also, tickets will be available the night of the tour at the Boyertown Historical Society, where maps of the tour will be provided and the tour begins.

Included in the tour are numerous interesting locations such as the Boyertown Area Historical Society, Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles, and the beautiful, Victorian Twin Turrets Inn. Part of the enjoyment is discovering the locations the night of the tour. Don’t miss A Festival of Trees at the Center at Spring Street, Taylor Backes and Tibitu Glass with glassblowing demonstrations and a tour of their three-room gallery store with a chance to purchase their 2014 holiday collectible ornament, two art galleries, unique shops offering specials and so much more.
