The Boyertown YMCA, 301 W. Spring Street, will host Senior Fitness Day on Wednesday, May 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is free to anyone age 55 and older.

Participants should come dressed to move! The schedule of events includes participation in fitness classes: 9 to 9:45 a.m. – Aqua L.I.T.E. in the indoor heated pool; 9:15 to 10 a.m. – Dance Energy in the gymnasium; 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. – Reflexology in the Family Lounge; 10 to 10:45 a.m. – Silver & Fit H2O – in the indoor heated pool; 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – Restorative Yoga in the Flexibility Studio; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Silver Sneakers in the Fitness Studio and 12:30 to 1 p.m. – Balance Class in the Flexibility Studio.

A Health fair from 10am-12pm will be held featuring Patt Veterinary Hospital, Penn State Extension, Parks Chiropractic, Keystone Rehabilitation, Advanced Hearing, Chestnut Knoll Alzheimers care and support, blood pressure screenings and more.

Elizabeth Herzberger, Y Wellness Director stated “the goal is to provide fun and fellowship with a focus on the importance of being active. We benefit in many ways from regular physical activity”. Kim Moeller, Group Exercise Coordinator stated “we’re offering a variety of classes in which any fitness level can participate. Take one class or several. Even if you’re not regularly active, the Y is a great place to start. If you’re not inclined to exercise, you can enjoy the Health Fair.”
