PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

Haunted & historical walks around Boyertown will be held on June 27, July 25, Aug. 22, Sept. 26, Oct. 10 and Oct. 17.

Events are $12 for the public ($10.00 members & students) and begin at 8:30 p.m. inside the Society building at 43 S Washington Street in Boyertown.

The book, Haunted Boyertown by Charles Francis Adams and the DVD, The Rhoads Opera House Fire: The Legacy of a Tragedy, are still available for sale. The price of Haunted Boyertown is still only $15.00. The price of The Rhoads Opera House Fire DVD has been reduced from $29.95 to only $20.00. And, if it is purchased by an attendee at one of our events, the price is further reduced to a mere $15.00.

We are planning some additional Paranormal Investigations and should be able to announce specific information soon, including a paranormal investigation at Popodickon Manor, built around 1732 as the mansion for owners of Colebrookdale Furnace, first iron furnace in Pennsylvania. We will be allowed to investigate in the house, graveyard, and alleged burial site of Chief Popodickon.

Unfortunately, we have been forced to suspend all Haunted & Historical Train Rides, at least for the summer. We will try to contact everyone as soon as we have anything further to report. Our apologies for any inconvenience this causes anyone.

The society is currently looking for volunteers and new members.

Individual memberships are $30 and family memberships at $45. Membership gives you full use of all of the Society’s facilities as well as discounts at most activities (including Haunted Boyertown).
