Sponsored by the Oley Fire Company, Oley Fire Company Fairgrounds will once again be filling up with peach-lovers across the region for the annual Peach and Ice Cream Festival.
Slated for Saturday, Aug. 8, the event will run from 2 to 10 p.m.
Highlights for this year include the Garden Tractor Pulls beginning at 12 Noon, the Antique Tractor & Farm Power Equipment Display and the 6th Annual Bill Conrad Memorial Quoit Tournament. The Car Cruise, beginning at 2 p.m., will include Street Rods, Antique Cars, Show Cars, etc. (Free dash plaque for the first 100 cars).
And last, but certainly not least, the festival will hold the Peach Dessert Contest featuring cash prizes.
Contest details: Enter your favorite dessert made with peaches, and the festival judges will pick the best entries. Entries are due by 5 p.m.; they will then will be cut and sold during the peach festival.
Music entertainment will be provided by the Twitty Fever Band from 6 to 9 p.m. Fireworks will set off at 9 p.m.
This year’s festival promises plenty of food and fun for the whole family. Food items include hamburgers, hot dogs, barbeque, soups, french fries and, of course, peaches and ice cream.
