On Saturday, Oct. 3, at 10:30 a.m. join us for a special storytime at the Exeter Community Library and meet Danelle Matlack of Gilbertsville, author of “Alfie the Allergic Alligator Goes to School.”

“Alfie the Allergic Alligator Goes to School” helps children learn about food allergies and how to cope with the diagnosis. Alfie experiences several emotions as he deals with starting school among his non allergic peers. This book will encourage discussion and help children, parents, and teachers promote food allergy awareness and acceptance. This is especially important at this time of year when those parents with kids that have food allergies try to encourage the public to hand out inexpensive non-food related items, such as pencils and stickers at Halloween.

The event is free and open to the public.
