Building a Better Boyertown is inviting the community to Coming Out of Hibernation for a day of family activities right on E. Philadelphia Avenue. The event will be held from 11-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 15.
The hibernation event is a community celebration of spring time and all of the Boyertown ‘Bears’ coming out of hibernation for the year. It is a community event created to be enjoyed by all age groups and family members. Each year BBB hosts this event and organizes it as well. This year Building a Better Boyertown has decided on a spring theme to keep with the traditional theme of the celebration, which Includes LOTS of flowers and maybe even a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny! Some of our events include a Chili Cook off.
There is a tree photo contest that is to be set up along with voting for the winner at the new Thompkins VIST Bank.
The moon bounce is a popular attraction at the event that will be set up along the street for all children to enjoy. Also local businesses set up vending tables along the sidewalks with activities for all ages to participate in.
Parking will be available in the Town Center Parking lot and along the streets so come on out and enjoy spring in beautiful downtown Boyertown. Philadelphia Ave. will be closed during the duration of this event from Washington to Chestnut Street, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
