On Saturday, July 22, from 7 to 9 p.m., the Kutztown Park Band shell will host the renowned Ringgold Band, returning to perform on stage at the Kutztown Park Bandshell as part of this year’s Borough of Kutztown’s 2017 Concert Series in the Park.
The Ringgold Band is proud to be one of America’s first community bands. They were formed in 1852 and have been performing continuous over the past 165 years. The band is under the direction of Jim Seidel, as he takes the baton for his 50th year with the Ringgold Band. The band continues to entertain throughout southeastern Pennsylvania at various church, community, and civic functions. The band will entertain with familiar marches and songs by John Philip Sousa, classics, overtures, and various show tunes from familiar musicals and shows from the past.
