Nov. 16Lions Club: The Boyertown Lions Club will hold their dinner meeting at the Friendship Hook & Ladder Co., S. Reading Ave & Warwick St., Boyertown at 6:30 pm. Amity Lioness will be joining us. The program will be on the April 2017 trip to Chicago for the International Convention.

Nov. 18Holiday Bazaar: To be held from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. at Friedens UCC, 337 Main Street, Oley. Shoofly and fruit pies, AP cakes, cookies, soups, gift snacks, crafts, flea market, and gift basket raffle. A lunch of soups, turkey and beef barbecues, hot dogs, and hoagies will be available.

Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale: To be held 9-2 p.m. at Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100, Barto. Featuring many local crafters, baked goods, cookies, flea market and lunch. Table space is available by contacting Eileen Haring at 610-754-6046. Church number is 610-652-5023.

Huff’s Church Hoe Down: To be held at 540 Conrad Rd., Alburtis, Hereford Township, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Paul Adam, calling with the Days of Old Band playing. No charge with free drinks and snacks. Invite friends and family and members of the community for a good, fun crowd.

Nov. 20New Hanover AARP: Group meets on Monday, November 20th at the New Hanover Lutheran Church, Lutheran Road, Gilbertsville. Optional social time with a bring-your-own bag lunch (beverage and desserts provided) is at 12:00. Entertainment will be provided by “Musical Friends”- instrumentals & vocals of the 40’s, 50’s &60’s. Meeting is at 12:45 p.m. All those age 50 and older are invited to attend.

Nov. 22Thanksgiving Eve service: To begin at 7 p.m. at Bally Mennonite Church, Route 100, Bally, together with members from: Calvary UCC in Barto, Christ Lutheran in Niantic, Most Blessed Sacrament in Bally, St. Paul’s Lutheran in Sassamansville, and Trinity Lutheran in Bechtelsville. We will gather together to offer our gratitude to God for His many blessings in our lives. There will be light refreshments after the service. Dec. 2Oley Valley Holiday House Tour: Self guided tour of historic Oley Valley homes, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Proceeds benefit Oley Valley Community Library. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 day of tour and can be purchased at Oley Valley Community Library 339 Main St. Oley. Call 484-491-1278.

Craft and Vendor Sale: Boyertown Legionettes’ 2nd Annual Holiday Craft & Vendor Show to be held 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Friendship Hook & Ladder, 10 Warwick St, Boyertown. Over 30 crafters and vendors, raffle prizes, and concessions on site.

Dec. 5Veterans Benefits Seminar : Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care invites all veterans and their spouses to a free educational Veterans Benefits Seminar at either 2 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. Tom Rutter, Veterans Affairs (VA) accredited claims agent, will explain an eldercare benefit offered by VA that can reduce the cost of senior care for veterans and spouses. This event is free and open to the public; however, seating is limited. Please RSVP by calling 610-473-8066.

Dec. 5: 6:30 pm Jenel Schaffer will guide the class in creating a fun, festive painting using acrylic paints. All supplies are included. Cost is $15 (cash only, please) which is due at the start of class. For adults and teens ages 16 and up. Please sign up by calling the library.
